Material: wood & stain
This sculpture was on of the first projects in art school. I had never explored carpentry or anything of the sorts before this. I found myself not thinking about what I wanted the end result to be, but just creating. I followed the angles and the end result was this 3D sculpture. This project influenced my final thesis, which includes wooden hangers that compliment this scultpure.
Material:concrete, resin, and found technology
Items that we own have personal meaning, and that can change if we choose. By taking this item and recreating it using a mold, concrete, and resin , I have changed it’s contect completely. It now has a different meaning and a different function. This sculpture failed throghout many steps of the process, but the end result is something I deem valuable to my work as an artist. I gained knowledge of new materials, and how they interact with each other.
